Get to know the BTB team, our passion and excellence
Beyond the Bench was founded in September 2023 as a passion project between best friends Christian Montano and Nick Prencis. Then, it was just two guys talking about their shared love for sports. In September of 2025, Beyond the Bench was completely rebranded with the help of social media director CJ Viento who helped shape the podcast to be what it is today. Since then, we have delivered continuous daily short form content, weekly podcasts, grown our team to a multi-person machine, and dedicated ourselves to delivering you the best and most accurate sports content on the internet. Beyond the Bench recruited other friends that were masters in their own fields; Christian Prencis, Peter Viento, and Theo Romaniuk, all to help with the growth of the podcast.
Beyond the Bench is focused on expanding their clientele and their content. This summer they released the BTB 2026 Fantasy Football Draft Guide. Prencis, a long time fantasy football player, came up with the idea by compiling a simple planning sheet of everything he would want in a draft guide. Over the course of 8 months, the Beyond the Bench Draft guide was curated and edited to ensure that it was simple and effective to use for all levels. Our goal is to ensure that any fantasy football player has the guidance and support to win their league, and our draft guide does just that.
Beyond the Bench recently developed a mini series, “Summer Games”, in which co-hosts Prencis and Montano go head to head in a series of sports-related challenges over the course of the summer to see who will reign victorious at the end of August. This has been a phenomenal way for the team to experiment with new content and find what we like to film, and more importantly, learn what our viewers enjoy watching.
